The conference will be a major opportunity for international students, investors, international education practitioners, teaching staff, researchers, industries, traders, governments, policy makers and other stakeholders to learn about major industry trends and development, the possibilities of trade and investment, and to network with Australian and international colleagues.
The conference in Perth is expected to attract over 200 delegates from over 50 organisations, including speakers, exhibitors and delegates. Approximately 18-20 per cent of attendees will come from overseas, and about one-third of Australian attendees will come from interstate and two-thirds from Western Australia. The conference will attract experts from all education sectors, including English language, schools, higher education and vocational education and training, as well as government representatives, trade and investment representatives, NGO staff and private providers. The exhibition is to attract at least 40 organisations.
The conference will focus on the potential of international relationships in uplifting skills and training for the future work in Africa. The conference aims to empower international students, educators, industries, governments and communities to have a positive impact in challenging and uncertain times; to promote international markets; to develop pathways for foreign trade investment; and to build networks and provide investment opportunities.
