The Africa Skills, Trade and Investment Conference is born from Regions of Africa: a bridge between Africa and Australia in business, investment, philanthropy and education. For our conference, we are primarily targeting those involved in the African communities and their growth. This includes, namely, skilled migrant professionals.
Listed below are some of the ways our ASTIC conference is a must for any skilled migrant professional to attend:
1. It will be well attended by prominent members of the WA community
Don't miss the chance to hear from inspirational community members like StudyPerth executive director Phil Payne, Minister for Higher Education Zambia, Professor Nkandu Luo, and plenty more that can be viewed here. The conference will attract experts from all education sectors, including English language, schools, higher education and vocational education and training, as well as government representatives, trade and investment representatives, NGO staff and private providers. The exhibition is to attract at least 40 organisations.
2. Valuable African Community and Business Partners
ASTIC is backed by many prominent business organisations that will add extreme value to the conference, including Australia Africa Business Council, Perth Convention Bureau, Edith Cowan University, Tourism Western Australia, City of Perth and Australia Africa Week.
3. Gain New Perspective and Knowledge on the Industry
The conference will focus on the potential of international relationships in uplifting skills and training for the future work in Africa. The conference aims to empower international students, educators, industries, governments and communities to have a positive impact in challenging and uncertain times; to promote international markets; to develop pathways for foreign trade investment; and to build networks and provide investment opportunities. Technological innovation, socioeconomic shifts and geopolitical changes are occurring on a global scale and at an accelerated pace. As the emerging social, economic, technological and geopolitical changes play out, students, educators, communities and professionals will need to gain insight and apply expert knowledge and skills if they are to manage potential disruption, achieve positive influence and become adept global citizens.
Regions of Africa has been established to be a bridge between Africa and Australia in trade, business, education, tourism and community empowerment. Our aim is to develop a generation of leaders and architects of change in Australia and Africa to enhance opportunities in both continents. We do this by relationship building and connecting Global Investors, Businesses, governments, Universities, individuals and community groups through events and media.
